Josh Atack otherwise known as Badger used to work at Frontier Developments as a Concept Artist on Elite Dangerous Concept Art, He worked with Frontier Developments back in 2012 through to 2014. One of many concepts for space stations within Elite Dangerous, focused on the attempt of portraying what a flotilla of space stations, spun up to create gravity would look like while being under a radiation shield.

Capital Ship Exploration

This is a capital ship out of the capital ship explorations, eventually becoming an Empire Capital Ship.

We started pretty broad on the Coriolis station, thinking of a way to bring the old 1984 wire frame version up to date. We eventually decided we wanted to make them look old, like antiques, this would contrast really well with the shiny newer stations.
