Titanfall is the first title from Respawn Entertainment, a studio that had formed from a hardcore team of ex-Infinity Ward staff members and headed up by industry veterans Vince Zampella and Jason West.
Development began as early as 2011, shortly before that the studio had formed. Jump forward a few years and the game was officially revealed at Microsoft’s E3 conference in 2013 and became a hit when it had released in 2014.
Titanfall tells the story and endless conflict of two factions, The IMC whom for all intents and purposes are wanting to take over The Frontier, a series of solar systems for their resource value and to better their strategic goal of profits – at whatever the cost. All the while we have the Frontier Militia who are a mishmash of bandits, mercs and civilians who wish to oppress this sense of invasion.
With the reveal that a second Titanfall is in development and is aiming for a release later this year we thought it would be an ideal moment to share the concept art of Titanfall with the work of James Paick and Scribble Pad Studios.
James, some of you may remember has been showcased a little bit here on Escape The Level and there’s no surprise too – his work is fairly recognizable and always a joy to see – if you’d like to check out more of his work and the art that Scribble Pad creates you can do so here and check out the studios site too!
